Girls Aloud ‘KitKat’ Advert!

7 04 2008

Premise of the Advert:

They’re doing their job going down a red carpet, it’s all hustle and bustle.
Sarah takes out the KitKat – famous for its slogan “have a break”.
She has her break, and everything goes calm around her – it’s meant to reflect how a “normal person” would feel when sat with a KitKat in their lounge, but for this advert they’ve put it into the context of a popstar on the red carpet – it’s unexpected.
Sarah ‘fake’ eats the chocolate bar
Everyone is waiting for her to finish having her break.
Silence is broken once she’s finished.

The way it SHOULDA gone down:

Girls come out of club/building and pose to paps etc. Ham it up.
Close To Love or Girl Overboard will be pumping over the top.
The girls walk down the red carpet and Sarah just flops on the stairs and sits down.
The music stops and it all goes silent. The paps just stop.
The others look miffed and confused.
Sarah gets her bar out and gestures at the others to do the same.
They all sit down and unwrap their bars, and enjoy…
Paps start shouting: ’Do be do, get on with it, luv’
They all finish their bars. Gracefully get up and start walking again.
Music winds up and starts again, and the girls continue to glam it up… making their way to the waiting SUV.

My idea:

Advertises the bar
Advertises the album
Advertises how nice the bar is

CUT!

Will.i.am is a “Heartbreaker”

23 03 2008

william_songs_about_girls.jpg

I’ve never followed much of what Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas does with his solo career, however when he made a cameo on “Passions of Girls Aloud” (which is a TV show featuring my favorite Brit girl group, Girls Aloud) with his new song “Heartbreaker“, I had no choice but to notice. A quick background: Cheryl Tweedy Cole was featured as a dancer in his new video… her “Passion” was to learn street dancing, and ended up showing off her new found skills in the vid. See below for the outcome of her performance. She looks a bit chavtastic, but… she’s so damn hot, who can hate?

Anyways, you might not care about any of what I just said above, but the point is, the Will.i.am song is not awful… and even kinda catchy!

GA @ The Brits Sans Nadine!

20 02 2008

My favorite Brit girl group didn’t win any Brits, nor any fashion awards in my eyes, and Nadine was a no-show… word at the goss factory is she lost her passport. I smell Geri Halliwell version 2.0. Now, we wait.

New Girls Aloud, Mais Oui!

13 02 2008

The new video for “Can’t Speak French” is the hotness. Cette femmes est tres belles… ok ok, sorry. The Parisian whore theme suits the song, albeit maybe a little kitschy, but delicious nonetheless. Most of their vids are a little budget tight however, if this one is, you can’t tell. C’est bon!

Props to Kimba who looks the hottest of the bunch… and pulls of the costumes much better then the rest (hmmm… I wonder what that says about her?)

The song version used in the video is the Jeremy Wheatly Radio Edit, which is obviously different then the album version… me likey!

Girls Aloud: The Power of Photoshop (Update)

1 02 2008

Voila– here are the latest Girls Aloud promo shots. These frames still look pretty raw, so something tells me they have been leaked. Besides the lack of Photoshop, not lovin’ it, and you KNOW these angles are no good if they make Cheryl Tweedy (Cole) look as if she’s had a large lunch. Every day for a week. Maybe two. And why do they always have to wear matching shoes? Are they perpetual bridesmaids?

**UPDATE: I just found a polished version on the untouched raw shot. Take a look at the before and after above. Cheryls lunch looked like it never happened! Wow. The magic of Photoshop indeed.**

Click the link below for their new single “Can’t Speak French”, (of course, only released in the UK because us chumps here in North America don’t know good music when we hear it) which also happens to be my favourite song on their newest album “Tangled Up”.  And what the hell, I’ve also uploaded “Control the Knife” for ya’ll. It’s another gooder.
